The Ventura Film Festival operates as an open genre international film festival that builds consciousness about environmental issues such as forest and ocean preservation and restoration, via a yearly film showcase and corresponding activities. The Ventura Film Festival was established in 2004 and has presented countless films, usually over 200 films each summer, and has garnered interest from the global cinema community.
